White Water safety and rescue is all about teaching the tools and techniques to make you a safer, happier and more confident person in and around the white water environment. Our instructors are all vastly experienced at running these courses and proficient at using the techinques for real from their own trips and journeys. This is a hands on course where you get to be a rescuer and a victim so that your awareness and technical knowledge improves side by side. Remember its not just about being a super hero, but knowing and seeing the bigger picture.

Safe paddling and leading
Throwline rescues

Stopper rescues
Rope rescues - pulleys and the like
Pinned Boats
and more

Duration - 2 days Training

Pre-Requisites - Due to the paddling environment and the boat control required the candidate should be:

Confident in their ability to paddle on grade 2 water.
Confident swimming in normal canoe clothing suitable for a moving water environment.
A minimum of 16 years of age

A first aid certificate is not a pre-requisite; however the holding of a first aid certificate is strongly recommended
